Overview
Solid Bleached Sulfate (SBS) paperboard is crafted from bleached virgin wood pulp. It is typically coated with kaolin clay, a natural mineral, to enhance surface smoothness for printing. Moreover, SBS paperboard can be laminated with a thin plastic liner to create a food-safe moisture barrier, preserving odors and flavors. This makes it perfect for packaging food, cosmetics, and pharmaceuticals. SBS paperboard consists of 20% recycled materials and 80% freshly harvested wood chips, which are chemically processed and bleached, resulting in a brilliant white color.
