Overview
Coated with a layer of aluminum, metallic paper is a unique paperboard material known for its decorative features. Available in both matte and glossy finishes, as well as smooth or crumpled textures, metallic paper is celebrated for its elegant shimmer. Besides its visual appeal, the aluminum coating effectively reflects light and repels moisture, providing protection for products sensitive to light and moisture, such as pharmaceuticals. While printing on metallic paper is uncommon due to its eye-catching nature, it is possible to use offset printing followed by UV printing to ensure the surface remains dry and the ink does not smudge or move.
