How to shortlist a shipping box factory
Define the job first: parcel shipping, palletized export, retail fulfillment or a branded unboxing experience. The same flute name can behave differently with different liners and board grades. Ask a supplier to recommend a construction against the packed product and route, then test the filled package.

Baoxinglong lists corrugated mail boxes and other printed paper packaging. Its mailer range makes it a relevant lead for branded ecommerce shipments; compare a die-cut mailer with a standard RSC when packing speed and material usage matter. A sourcing intermediary should be evaluated differently from a factory that converts and tests the box; neither image is evidence of a specific factory’s shipping-carton performance.
Choose the shipping box by route, not flute alone

E flute may support detailed print on a compact mailer, while B or C flute can be useful for other cushioning and compression needs. Neither flute letter nor thickness alone proves a safe load limit. Send one comparable RFQ to every candidate
- Internal dimensions (L × W × H), FEFCO style or an existing box/sample, product photos and packed unit weight
- Units per box, quantity per order and annual forecast, delivery destination and preferred Incoterm
- Board or performance target, stacking and humidity conditions, any retailer or 3PL handling rules
- Artwork file, print coverage, barcode placement, insert and finish requirements
- Sample approval, carton packing, pallet plan, inspection point and requested delivery date

Buyer questions before production
What evidence should I request for box strength?
Ask for the proposed board specification and a relevant test result, with the test method, date and sample identified. A filled-box trial or route simulation may be needed; an ECT number alone does not prove an assembled box will protect your product.
Can one factory make a retail box and its outer shipper?
Some listed suppliers present both product categories. Confirm whether both are made at the same facility and quote each structure separately; an attractive retail box is not automatically suitable as the sole transport package.
Should I buy directly from a factory or through a sourcing company?
A direct converter can discuss equipment, samples and production controls at its plant. A sourcing company may coordinate several factories. If using an intermediary, establish who manufactures, inspects, invoices and handles claims.
